Bob and Terri Lancaster originally opened “Chillin’ Ri’ Cheer” in 2010, a 4-bedroom (short term rental) beach house in South Nags Head, North Carolina. We sold the beach house and purchased “Chillin’ Ri Cheer on River Time” in December 2022. Since 2015, we were Premier VRBO Hosts with a 5-Star rating from over 100 reviews, and we are bringing that same care to our Chillin’ Ri’ Cheer on River Time guests.

Chillin’ Ri’ Cheer on River Time is a comfortable and spacious (over 3800 SF) beautifully-renovated 1944 farmhouse with charm and lots of modern amenities. There are 5 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, wrap around porch, wet bar, game room, large custom kitchen with WOLF gas double oven, WOLF commercial range and warming shelf, and commercial-size refrigerator.

Maximum Overnight Occupancy: 8 guests

Parking: Ample parking in wide driveway (overnight limit of 4 vehicles, per Essex County Code)

Kitchen and Wet Bar: Keurig and Cuisinart 14-cup coffee maker, microwave, large crock pot, toaster, blender, drink frig, and lots of cookware. Kitchen table seats 6+ with extra seating around the kitchen island or game table.

Parlor: Private seating area for phone calls or romantic courting

Pantry: Cooking oils and spices, trash bags, coffee filters, paper towels, dish washer liquid, and laundry detergent

Internet: Free wireless Internet, TVs allow streaming from renter-owned devices

Game room: Foosball table, Wii, large screen TV, tons of movies on DVD and VHS tapes, board games and puzzles

Guest Bedrooms: 2nd Floor Bedrooms New Addition (Queen and Twin Beds) and Full Bathroom. 2nd Floor Bedrooms 1944 Farmhouse – Salmon Room with Queen Bed, White Room with Queen Bed, and Green Room with Queen Bed – and Full Bathroom.

Bed linens and bath towels provided and all beds are made up and ready before check in. There are plenty of extra pillows and blankets.
